What is DNS Abuse?
Under ICANN's Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA) Section 3.18, DNS Abuse refers to Technical DNS Abuse, which includes:
- Malware: Distribution or operation of malicious software
- Botnets: Command and control servers for compromised computers
- Phishing: Fraudulent attempts to obtain sensitive information by impersonating legitimate entities
- Pharming: Redirecting users to fraudulent websites
- Spam (as delivery mechanism): When used to deliver the above forms of abuse
Important Note: Content disputes, trademark issues, copyright violations, hate speech, or misinformation that do not involve the technical abuse types above are not classified as Technical DNS Abuse under ICANN policy. However, we may still review such reports under our Terms of Service.

- Security vendor reports or threat intelligence
- Description of how the abuse is being carried out
- Target brands or organizations (for phishing)

- Reporter updated on actions taken

Trademark Disputes
For trademark infringement related to domain names, the appropriate process is:

Note: Trademark disputes are generally not considered Technical DNS Abuse unless they involve phishing or malware.
Copyright Infringement
For copyright issues, please contact the hosting provider directly as we do not control website content. Copyright disputes are not classified as Technical DNS Abuse under ICANN policy unless they involve malware distribution.
Data Protection & Privacy
We handle all abuse investigations in compliance with EU GDPR and applicable data protection laws. Personal data is processed only as necessary for DNS Abuse investigation and mitigation purposes. All reports and investigation records are retained for a minimum of 2 years as required by ICANN RAA Section 3.18.3.
